The Riders Perspective collects rider experience to produce independent, aggregated research. This standard governs the Founding Rider Census.
What we collect
We collect the answers you choose to provide about your rider status, experience, motorcycles, shopping or purchase journey, general location, age band and opinions. We also collect your email address for duplicate prevention, quality review and any follow-up you separately permit.
How identity is separated
Contact information is stored separately from research responses. Reports use aggregated results, segments with adequate sample sizes and anonymous excerpts only when the rider granted permission. Individual response records are not provided to manufacturers, dealers, sponsors or data brokers.
What we never sell
We do not sell or rent rider names, email addresses, individual response records or contact lists. Industry organizations may pay for aggregate intelligence, benchmarking or custom research. Payment does not grant control over the findings.
Permissions you control
Research-use consent is required to submit the Census. Invitations to future research are optional. Quote permission is selected separately. A rider may ask that contact information and associated responses be removed by contacting The Riders Perspective through theridersperspective.com.
Quality and fraud prevention
We use duplicate checks, completion timing and limited technical signals to protect research quality. Technical network identifiers may be converted into one-way hashes; they are not published or sold.
Retention and security
Records are retained only while they remain useful for the rider panel, longitudinal research, audit integrity or legal obligations. Reasonable access controls and data separation are used, but no online system can promise absolute security.
Research limits
TRP will publish sample size, field dates and relevant limitations with material findings. A Census response is not automatically labeled verified; identity and quality checks occur separately.
